  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

My unpopular speculation is best case for BEV production is post-2028 election - say 2029 for MY30. Meanwhile EREV got a later start, figure best case moving from late-2027 for MY28 to 2028 for MY29. No evidence, just a gut feeling.

I've suggested expanding the garage to make room for more cars & stuff. Instant wife veto. Neighborhood association likely wouldn't approve anyways (she's on the committee).

Yeah I'm worried about garage fit alongside wife's Grand Highlander Hybrid. I might be leaving my reservation deposit in place for some years waiting for a leaner Scout BEV. We'll see.

"I would trust Boeing... planes with their multiple redundant systems to perform critical functions in an aircraft today. Just like on 737 MAX? That airplane is why we stopped flying Southwest. Trash.

Yep, classic Toyota dealer experiences. The 'Regional Distributor Model' bakes a lot of sleaze into the business model, especially in certain regions. We jumped two states for GH purchase - no markup on high-demand/short-supply vehicle and got the allocation changed to what we wanted...

Yeah its fine, though black roof + lighter color makes a huge difference vs. darker/monotone - Also its rather low & long vs. what I'm looking for - so now curious to see Land Cruiser BEV whenever it lands (no pun) -

If you can thread the needle w/ buying experience (dealer) and vehicle configuration (order/allocation), it can be a success. But so much can go wrong on that path and the uneducated/unprepared can easily get taken advantage of. We've got 47k on 2024 Grand Highlander Hybrid - plenty big for...

Rivian is actually a better match to our use case - no need for BoF, axle/ankle locking, crush that mountain, whatever. But not gonna do tappity-tap-touchscreen. Period.

Our experience w/ 2024 Grand Highlander Hybrid - if you find an available allocation soon enough, anything but powertrain, trim, and with/without sunroof could be changed. We wanted Limited Hybrid w/out sunroof, found such an allocation, then changed colors and equipment (both factory and...

I realize this would never happen, but something like this would be amazing. As a kid, I pined for an Eagle SX/4 while others wanted mere exotic sports cars. https://burlappcar.com/2026/01/should-scout-add-a-compact-model.html...
