  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

One pedal is great, but also not so great going into a non-one pedal vehicle and remembering how to "drive." That aside, it is so great to not have to spend more time cleaning the brake dust off the wheels when washing and honestly ever having to replace the brakes/pads. Have a '23 Model Y...

Teaser Images to what we actually got

Having owned 3 new 4Runner Limiteds since 2016 and now in a Volvo XC60 Recharge, my wife can't wait to get into the new Land Cruiser and 4Runners are no longer a thought for us. I'm in a Model Y Performance and can't wait to take delivery of our Traveler Harvester. Seems like a good combo for a...

    Gas Powered Range Extender

Two things. First, I email Scout Motors with a question about changing reservation and Fin responded immediately and we had a few emails until my questions and concerns were addressed - awesome customer service. Second, I only reserved the Harvester version and was concerned that if...

    Want to Know

I hope this will be the case but seeing that most of us are in front of the line, I would really be bummed if I’m pressed to configure before I can put hands on and lose place in line if we stall. Then again, you’re only out $100 if you have to back out after configuring and honestly, that’s...

Getting up to speed with EV tech

Ditto, likely a driver profile setting to smoothen and lessen the acceleration like Tesla. I keep my Tesla at max acceleration in “Sport” mode rather than “Chill” and learn to adjust my input (pedal pushing) instead. That way I’ve got the power when I need it and have self-control when I don’t...

Swore I’d never buy an EV, then Scout happened

I’m suspect of pricing that far out regardless of manufacturer. Rivian is saying $45K for their R2 in ‘26 but doubt that too. However, batteries appear to be getting better and cheaper so that may offset other increases over time. Our loaded XC60 was almost $80K. I know it’s not apples to...

Wish I could sleep till 2027!

Saw the Scout reveal video in my YouTube feed yesterday and slapped down my $100 (virtually) without hesitation. I’ve always researched and overthought every car purchase, but this just clicked for me. We have a ‘23 Tesla Model Y Performance and a plug-in hybrid ‘24 Volvo XC60. We’re not going...
