  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

VW, Audi dealers file suit in Florida to block Scout Motors’ direct sales to state consumers

Because they know ICE will eventually be gone, and like intellectual property and trademark enforcement, if you cede any ground, you lose the war.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Have you owned an EV? Just asking, because - on paper - 225 mile range made sense for us, but in real world application, it left us short more often than we expected. The stated EPA range is probably 85% of what you’ll get in the real world. So, 150 according to Scout gets you 125 with...

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

I wouldn’t own an EV again without Level 2 home charging, minimum. Our Tesla Destination Charger performed 99% of our charging in the four years we owned it.

Usb ports on top of dash

At least a couple videos showed two USB (A?) ports up there with the mount handle. Please put flip covers or sliding doors over those as having them upward will invite debris and failure. Might be a listing issue.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

<225 mile EPA BEV range (= 200 actual) is wholly inadequate for any destination driving. Have done that with our Model 3. Local driving and 50 mile commuting trips or occasional <200 mile day outings are what such range is good for. Great example is Charlotte to the NC coast or the...

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Will bring this lump to South Carolina for Traveler tow testing. Our Touareg 770/7700 lb towing loves pulling it. Or… I can take Scout from Canada to Guatemala if you want some true Border to Border Expedition level overland testing. Been there and done that!

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Looks very swept and blade-like. It might turn Scout into a glider!

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Dig this integrated design as long as the emitter pods and drivers can be replaced and serviced. Don’t want to hate the otherwise good rack because 1 of the emitter modules starts flickering or fails.

Scout shows off the UX at CES!

Very much appreciate this video, and Dre's efforts on the vehicles so far. Clearly, they are trying to do many things, without cluttering the UI. My big complaint on our Tesla is the constant updates (good thing) > new and often mysterious locations for apps / features / functions (bad thing)...

    Approximate Charge Time

You’ll definitely want a Level2 / Destination charger on a two-pole circuit at home. Many EV owners do the majority of charging in their own homes on this set up, which can be set up in the charger app to only charge off-peak, if desired.

    Bourgeoisie leather seating please! ;-)

Look at VW Audi leather for something that wears exceptionally well. I will take a hard pass on a car with rubbish seat materials. Conversation over. Cloth seats invariably get stained and look like trash. Tech fabrics need 50,000 cycle testing My buddy bought a King Ranch with some sexy...
