  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

I pre ordered the Harvester model with the idea of having 500 miles or more. But I do wonder how the upkeep and maintenance will be. I love having an EV because other than tire rotations, there's not much to upkeep. Having a generator will definitely keep upkeep, but to what degree, that remains...

    Center Screen

You got to sit in one? I'm jealous!

    Center Screen

From all the videos I've seen, not really liking how small the center screen is. I wish they would make it taller. I get why it's so wide, so the passenger can control things on the screen. But they really should make it taller too. Also if they can add a tilt option, if you're driving alone...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I really hope they have a tonneau cover option for the truck. Also wish the center screen was larger. And I hope their first gen1's will be advanced enough to drive hands free.. unlike how Rivian stated their gen1 would be capable of that, but never happened.

Concern about the complexity and cost of repairs/maintenance for EREV

I also was wondering about the upkeep of the generator. It will 100% be more than an normal EV.. But how much more and how good will the warranty be, might be the make or break deal with Scout. Being a gen1 owner of Rivian, while I love the car, I've seen first hand a what hiccups will happen to...

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

There's 0 % chance that at 60K you will get everything Scout is showing us now. For the lowest price, you will go bare bone. I pre-ordered the Harvester config, and I am anticipating a 5;10k add on for that, then I'm sure, color, tires, etc will all be additional. Price will very likely go from...

    Harvester Battery Size

Hey everyone, Does anyone have any info on how big the battery will be for the harvester model? It sounds like it'll be 150 miles on EV and 350 miles on the generator. Are we expecting to be in the 50Kwh range? You think higher, lower?

New Harvester Info from LA Auto Show

Saw in an interview with TFL. The employee said the harvester will only have 100 miles of EV range and assumably 400 miles on the gas generator. The EV range is going down every time they talk about it. How does everyone feel about it? They did mention that they're still on track to keep the...
