  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Delivery date

Agree, I’m think best case we start seeing general public delivery’s Q4 ‘28, with anything prior being early review models and a marketing fleet.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Has there been any official news are potential targets for more “production” final information sharing (i.e., packages, colors, certain specs, confirmed parts etc). At this point I would guess we are about 33 months from production start (end of ‘27) backing out from that, I’m going to assume...

January 2025 Scout Production Center Construction Update

Progress is progressing! Would be cool to include in future updates overall percentage completion against being producing ready.

How Will Scout Keep Its Momentum Until 2027?

They need to think about two customer types with their engagement models. The forum / enthusiasts who care about the process, specs, initial and early look at concepts, packages etc. The mainstream consumer, showing the vehicle in person at car shows, events, technology conferences etc...

Winch and Terra Cabana Top Preview?

Especially if they are gloss colors. I am dying to see these vehicles in traditional high gloss, metallic/pearl paint!

    Bench Seat vs Standard

100% this. If it doesn’t offer some center storage, cup holders and an alternative location for wireless charging / phone storage, it will deter me for sure. Honestly I at this point, I would be very surprised if Scout didn’t deliver in this aspect considering all the other details.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

Nice to have, but not required. Current car has it and honestly long trips on the highway it’s actually awesome..

    In-Person Looks?

Likely they will have hubs / popups in major metros ahead of actual ordering books opening. With plans to start production sometime in 2027, I would expect some sort of tour with more production level models to happen at least 12 months prior to that. But..only scout truly knows.

Where did you see those? The reservation page says production targeting 2027?

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

When I redid my garage I accounted for two inside 40mm circuits, one which is now for an EV charger. At the time I had only a Jeep 4xe, so really a L1 is fine. Now I have an Ariya and the L2 occasional in the garage is nice. I will do an L2 outside once I have the scout, but it’s more...

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Same setup and agree as well. 99% of the time I’m using the L1 outside. I have used the L2 inside a handful of times when I know I have longer trip or if I was very depleted from a longer trip. I reserved the harvester for weekend trips where I don’t know what charging looks like or don’t want...

Kim Java reviews Scout Motors Terra and Traveler at CES

Not once have I heard or read 2026. Production starting in 2027 is always what I have heard or read. Meaning deliveries could be in 2027 or early 2028. What I think is happening is some are quoting delivery dates, some are quoting production start and this is where the mix up is happening.

    Cloth seats

As someone who details as a hobby, leather or vinyl is better in 99% of situations as long as it’s properly cared for, the issue becomes when you don’t care for it, it cracks and fades. Leather is easier to clean, doesn’t hold scents / odors like cloth and overall looks more premium in almost...
