  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What Song Will You Play First in Your New Scout?

Long as I Can see the light - Creedence from the Scouts Always come Back ad, since that is the commercial that did me in.

    Scout Groupie Merch

If they are successful getting NC to allow direct sales, I think it would be really cool to create an "event" for early reservers to come pick up their vehicles, hang out for activities, then convoy home. Imagine a visual graphic of a map tracking the new Scouts fanning out in different...

    That would be really cool!

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

As far as I've heard, no removable top to be offered. I was hoping Ford would come out with an EV Bronco, but no dice on that either. A friend has one and rarely removes the top because it is a PITA. I am looking forward to the canvas top as a nice compromise. A glass top is also an option.

    Delivery date

does anyone know what the reservation count was in the first 24 hours? Just curious, since I did reserve in that timeframe

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

The Scout is supposed to have "Pet Mode", which allows you to leave your pets in the car with climate control on. A message appears on the screen that tells onlookers that the pet is safe and displays the temperature. Great feature if you need to make a dash into the grocery on the way home...

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

Good Answer. I am a retired LEO and I cringe when I see someone buckling the baby in BEFORE loading the groceries, and start the engine to get the AC going. My cousin does this because she is afraid someone is going to snatch the baby from the cart in the parking lot while she loads the...

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

Survey question: When shopping, do you load your groceries into the car first, or your baby/kids?

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

I second the comment about fold flat rear seats, if possible, folded flat seats that are level with the rear storage.

    Trade-In with EV direct sale

Thanks, I have been shopping. The impact of the tarrifs is already there. Dealers are using it as an excuse to jack up prices. Ford, for example, has the "Employee Pricing Plan" but removed all other incentives so pricing is actually worse. I was looking at the Bronco Sport

    Trade-In with EV direct sale

Thanks for all the input! What is the current prediction on delivery dates for the Scout? (I reserved first day) That is the big variable as to whether leasing would be a good idea.

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

Hello! I'm in northern Florida. I have been tinkerng with cars since I was 15. My dad helped me buy an old Mustang and the deal was I had to get it running and roadworthy by my 16th birthday. The Scout Father Daughter commercial did me in!

    Trade-In with EV direct sale

I would appreciate recommendations from the crowd. I have a 2018 vehicle and I am trying to decide whether to hang onto it until Scout arrival, or buy something new to trade then. The answer depends on whether the trade-in allowances will be "generous" or "we have you over a barrel". If it is...

Cost and Ease to Repair/Maintain the Traveler and Terra

I've always worked on my own cars, and I would say that 80% of repairs for ANY vehicle can be done in a driveway. I would guess the 80% number is more of a marketing talking point stemming from a general design philosophy. I would assume their intention is to keep components accessible and...

What feature(s) do you hope that Scout does NOT include?

A happy medium for me would be for the frunk to be shaped to allow storage of a full sized spare. A long trip is the only time I would feel the need to bring one along, the rest of the time it could live in my garage.
