  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Payload and towing with harvester range extender on a Traveler

Also, for the trailer brake, I really hope it’s a physical one and not one on the screen, it would be super annoying to have to flip through a few menus to get to it.

    Spare tire discussion

If the bed were just a foot longer, there would be absolutely no problems fitting 37’s under the bed.

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

I don’t care as much about what factory accessories you can get, but please make it so that aftermarket add-ons are super easy.
  4. Lowengaard

List ONE thing you are most ? THANKFUL ? to see that Scout Motors incorporated

Solid rear axle and actual locking diffs!

    Exterior light enhancement

Yeah I don’t know too much about it, fun idea though.

    Exterior light enhancement

So I’ve seen a lot of these around recently, and if I’m not mistaken it’s for Christmas. Cool concept to do it as an add on, but I think that strapping Christmas lights to your car is more of a fun diy thing.

what's this in bed of Terra

Hopefully the finished version is just regular steel and not 3d printed.

    Re-think Headlight Design

I would much prefer round headlights like the original scouts had.
  9. Lowengaard

    Larger Mirrors

    Yeah that would be awesome.
  10. Lowengaard

    Larger Mirrors

Yeah I think bigger mirrors would definitely be a plus on the terra, especially if they actually want it to be able to trailer anything.

    Basic or All Decked Out?

I’m perfectly fine without most luxury stuff (except AC, power windows, and power locks). However, I do want all the off-roading goodies like off-roading suspension, a winch, and off-roading bumpers.

[Terra] Double cab with a 6.5' bed

Yeah I definitely fall into that niche, which is why I think the 6.5 bed is a good idea.
  13. Lowengaard

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

These are really all the things I want to see.
  14. Lowengaard

Option for a Rugged/Waterproof Interior Trim

Rivian does a keycard, phone unlock, and a physical key. I think that should be the direction scout goes with the key

[Terra] Double cab with a 6.5' bed

I for think that the 6.5 bed with extended cab is really gonna catch on once people realize it’s an option. So I think that’s the route that scout should go.
