  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Welcome and Introductions!

Sorry you had such a bad experience. This is my third neon. I love the SRT-4 all of mine have had over 150k in miles. I think their manual transmission such as my SRT were always better vehicles than their automatics. As a sales manager I drive a LOT though this vehicle mostly sits in the...

    Thoughts about an EV off-roader?

HI J, I completely agree on the national level I think there is a lot that can be accomplished by showing what can be done at events and trails like Rubicon. Proving that an EV can not only compete, but instead beat out other brands and types of vehicles in certain areas is important to convince...

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

If someone wants a different color I think that is an easy fix. I'm curious after reading many of the threads what type of culture as a brand Scout is looking to cultivate? Are there plans to engage off road modification experts and or brands to build a catalog of options for post factory...

    Welcome and Introductions!

Hi Scout Team, Kimberly from West Virginia, by way of Pennsylvania here. I found this because i'm looking for a new project i've had a YJ Jeep of some sort for the last 20 years. I grew up on a farm and have vivid memories of my grandfathers 1961 Scout and the adventures we took. its been...

    Thoughts about an EV off-roader?

Lancaster, not a bad area for finding old farm trails. Its also not that far from Rausch. I agree with you about the Rubicon course however I think the average off-road enthusiast hasn't done their course. I would love to see Scout on some of the woodland trails. I have memories of my...

    Thoughts about an EV off-roader?

What about the Northeast? We have some great wet trails like in Shamokin, PA? I'd love to see a Scout on the Coal Mountain course.

    Thoughts about an EV off-roader?

I am taking a different approach and am pretty excited about the idea of EV. I can admit i've been reluctant to buy a new Jeep wrangler and I have a 1991 Jeep wrangler at the moment. Most of my last 20 years have been on YJ's I know i'm very old school. I have taken it through mud more times...

    Restomod '65 Scout 80

Awesome job. I love the symetry your color choice creates. Did you have much work to do on the frame for the rebuild? I am looking at rebuilding a Scout in a similar condition i'm curious if you have any tips.
