  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

Hopefully we can still run the 35's and have all the off-road capabilities without the air suspension.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

This is what I am also worried about with solid state batteries. One idea would be to change the Harvester model to having a solid state battery instead of an Engine. While the regular Traveler has the Lithium battery.

    Winch

Yeah a winch would be really nice.

Are factory deliveries for reservation holders being considered?

I would love to do this. My 1 way trip would be 2,628 miles. :)

Entry Model Specs, Premium Model Price?

I hope by adding the off-road package to the base model, it will include: 35's Spare tire Lockers Disconnects Plates. Im not worried about range, Im well within 300 miles from Mountainous adventures. So I hope we dont have to upgrade to a bigger battery to get the off-roading package.

Towing a Off-Road Trailer with the Terra

I was just talking about this in another post. Those off-road trailers are pretty dope. Do you have any recommendations?

Payload and towing with harvester range extender on a Traveler

Man, at first I didn't think I would trailer anything. Then I saw those off-roading trailers you can get that are made for the outdoors. Now Im thinking about it.

How will the scouts handle the extreme cold?

Damn thats pretty cold. Out here in Central CA we get down to the low 30's hi 20's at the lowest at night. If I go up into the mountains it can drop down into the teens.

    Driving Sounds

Cant wait to go off-roading with no engine noise and just listening to the tires rolling over the rocks. Seems like it would be a pretty cool experience.

What are you driving until release?

I just sold my 08 Tundra. Right now Im driving a 2012 Passat. Wife has a Model 3. My oldest daughter is about to get her drivers license and she has her eye on the Passat. Not sure what Im going to do for the next 3 years.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

I was watching the "out of spec reviews" video of the CES show. While they were speaking to the UI engineer, she talks about the 3 different options the extender will have 1. Auto - Engine is off and it Automatically turns on when the battery gets to a certain level 2. EV - Electric only 3. Max...

Interesting article about the engineering underneath the new Scouts

Cool article. I was wondering how they were going to do the rear end. That EBeam looks pretty solid.

December 2024 Scout Production Center Construction Update

I hope so. I would love to pick up my traveler from the factory and hit the off-road park then drive it back to CA. That would be a pretty epic road trip.
