  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Keep the weight down please

I actually prefer the vehicle be tougher than lighter. I'm hoping for tungsten body and frame.

Teaser Images to what we actually got

Too much overlap with the new 4Runner. Bring us a 70 series or a 300.

As a Land Cruiser owner, I was so disappointed with the new LC lol

    Questions about the Harvester

I envision "Gas and Go" as not waiting for critically low SOC and the Harvester kicks in and is able to keep the battery around the same charge level in standard driving conditions. If both sources are delepted I don't think anyone should expect a zero wait time to get back on the road.

    DROPDOWN REAR WINDOW

Tailgate is amazing for camping, especially once you put drawers in the back. Still have a surface to cook, eat, etc.

    Onboard Meshtastic

I use meshtastic and like it. I rather have a dedicated space to mount a Ham radio and a built in audio interruptor to use two way radio through car speakers.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

If 99% of drivers are home owners and can charge every night, sure. I'm sure some renters might want to be able to drive their vehicle for a few days before taking it to get charged.

Did Your City Receive 2025 Grant Funds To Build Charging and Refueling Infrastructure?

Scout Motors needs to be ultra innovative and have charging drones that can be summoned as needed and dock on the roof as you're traveling down the highway to charge on the go.

Questions for the Scout Developers and Engineers

I suppose Scout Motors will never commit to not sharing our data, but I really hope they stick to aggregated and anonymized data rather than personally identifiable.

Questions for the Scout Developers and Engineers

Who would ever buy a vehicle that uploads driving performance to third parties? That should be a non-starter for literally everyone.
