  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Towing a Off-Road Trailer with the Terra

Totally agree with that statement on paper. What I meant is 95% of overland trailers are see are 100 yards away from a 30ft Winnebago. Very few people take those places a regular trailer wont go and pay a huge premium for nadda

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Very clearly a joke, edited now for equal sexism

Towing a Off-Road Trailer with the Terra

Overland trailers are a suckers game for most folks. Average trailer will go to a majority of "off-road" places people think they'll go. Looks great but even if I would use this everyday, $50k is a lot to stomach for that interior space.

June 2025 Scout Motors Production Center Update

As someone who's been doing manufacturing construction for 20 years. The progress made is pretty impressive, it is not easy to be this far along and on time

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Holes in roofs by any means is like a super hot individual. Everyone wants it when they see it, they are absolutely beautiful; but after living with it for a while you realize it drives you bonkers more than it brings you joy

    Audio System Brand Poll 2.0

I know this is a common take, but I'm sensitive as hell to road noise and my Bronco on 35s needs like 1/4 volume to totally drown out road noise. The rattles and squeeks from the roof a whole nother story... But tires unless you ride in silence not gonna matter.

    Audio System Brand Poll 2.0

Continuing my crusade on "things I wish vehicles shipped without". Don't put in any. Run the wiring, but don't ship speakers. They have gotta be #1/2 of most quickly changed items on a new vehicle. I know likely not a reality but a man can dream.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

If I had to guess, I'd wager you're going to be disappointed. Ramcharger needed a 3.6L V6 to accomplish that and I doubt the scout has anything close to that. Moving a harvester at 70+MPH is going to be 25kw output range and I don't see them sizing an engine that big in it.

Scout Motors announces in-vehicle satellite connectivity and highlights Scout Community UX interface at CES 2025

Would advise anyone reading this and think 'yessssss' to just get it integrated. You will spend more time putzing with wiring it securely mounting it. Unless its going to come prewired, don't fool yourself

What 16 Metro's Will Scout Launch?

Probably Glendale. Anywhere in the Valley will server 'Phoenix' and its cheaper to go West than it is east.

    Where are EV chargers needed

Ex Albertan here, you're braver than me for sure! Icefields Parkway IMO is an ICE journey in fall/winter, I don't even like doing that without extra fuel. No cell service and it is not at all uncommon to have it closed on both ends when your in the middle of it

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I've always wanted a proper power terminal in the back of the vehicle. Not some 1 amp Aux Switch, a proper terminal I can run 4g off of. Sound systems, rear winches, compressors etc The worst part of any vehicle modification is running real power to the back
