  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    EREV initial release only?

There is absolutely no reason to think they will build all erev pre-orders first before even starting BEV production.

January 2026 Scout Production Center Update

Didn't it used to be -350 miles for BEV?

Are you OK with Scout vehicles starting under $60K?

I don't think R2s will depreciate that fast.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I would like to see what a well optioned, but more road focused Traveler would look like. Less Bronco Badlands and more Defender 110.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Not to mention an EV will go a hell of a lot further on 33.7kw than any ICE on a gallon of gas.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I really don't want to start a big back and forth but gasoline is heavily subsidized in the US. It just doesn't come in the form of a highly visible tax break. Whether or not the playing field was level with the EV rebate, removing it certainly didn't make it so.

    EREV initial release only?

"Making vehicles for other brands is "an absolute possibility" Scuttlebutt is that it's an Audi luxury 4x4 to compete with the G-Wagon.

Pictures From Rodeo Event: Ft Worth, TX

Here's a few snapshots. The lighting was pretty harsh so it was tough dealing with the shadows. My buddy and I drove up from Austin and back just to see them. Totally worth it. My biggest goal was just to understand exactly how big they were in person because I was concerned they'd be too big...

Pictures From Rodeo Event: Ft Worth, TX

Yeah I was there at the same time as OP. I'll post a some shots in a few minutes - not as pretty but probably closer to what you'd actually see.

I was there, I have to say these pictures are not quite color accurate. They're too saturated. For instance the seats in the Traveler aren't that red in person.

I'm Ready for Another Big Announcement

When are we going to see something other than these mockups?

Traveler Ride Quality and NVH Expectations

The R1S is a $100k three row SUV with 22 inch wheels and chrome trim. It was absolutely not intended to be primarily an off-roader. It's perfectly reasonable for customers to expect a very good ride. As for the Scout, I hope they at least take a look at the older Lexus GX460s. Those were body...

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

Man, I don't know what to say. Every time you describe how you think our model works, it's clear that you don't understand what we're saying. I simply don't know how we can be any clearer. Then you go on to state a bunch of things about the Ramcharger which show that you don't know what you're...

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I don't know why this isn't getting through, but again, no one is saying that the battery won't be used. The battery can be used to supplement the power of the generator for high load demands. Why do you think that's not the case? The battery and the generator are both connected to the motors...
