  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

This is probably a dumb question, but can I get wireless phone charging with the bench seat, like in a sliding tray in the dashboard or something? Or do I need the center console for that?

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

If you guys make the Scout vehicle-to-grid compatible, could you guys team up with GM Energy to make it compatible with their system? It would save a lot of money and development time if you guys could piggyback on an existing system. https://gmenergy.gm.com/

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

I’d like a rear light bar, paint protection film, off road bumpers, tow hooks, spray-in bed liner, rock rails and side steps for easy entry. Give me accessories that give the “bro truck” look from the factory.

Tailgate step, fuel door location for the range extender and outbound power 50 amp

I don’t know if the multi-function tailgate GM has on their trucks would be possible, but a simple fold-out step with a fold-out grab handle like Ford has with the F-150 would be nice. It wouldn’t mess with the tailgate design, at least.

    Sport bar for Terra

I was wondering, will the Terra have a sport bar accessory that can be used to provide a mount for additional lights? Here’s a factory sport bar for the Chevy Silverado. And this is the light bar that mounts to that sport bar. I think this would be feasable because it’s easy to install and...

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

I got a pretty sizable address list on Google Maps, let me import it into the nav system with a few clicks. Would implementing a Google Built-In system like the GM EVs be a good idea?

Went ahead and got the garage flag, navy T-shirt and ripstop hat. The Harvester shirt is a good idea.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Oh, while I’m at it, can I request a built-in dash cam? Having one in case I get into a crash would be nice for insurance purposes, especially if it’s built in (like the Corvette) or pre wired for aftermarket installs (like Porsche).

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

The GM EVs still have it on the options list, though.

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Can I request automated parking assist? With a vehicle this big, I think having automated parking assist would be great to have when squeezing into tight spaces or parallel parking. The GMC Hummer EV has it, and it has an external tire carrier like the Traveler. Beyond this, I’d like...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Give me bright colors, so I voted for red and bright yellow. I also voted for copper because it looked good on the Traveler concept.

What are you driving until release?

My current car is a 2018 Chevrolet Volt that I picked up used last year to replace a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze that I lost in a crash. I chose it to get used to driving an electric car, and it has enough EV-only range to get me to work and back without using any gas power.

Thinking of getting the ripstop hat, garage flag and navy T-shirt. One thing I’d like to see is a camouflage colored trucker cap, since that would be thematically appropriate here.

    Welcome and Introductions!

Hi, my name is Alex, and I live in Jupiter, FL. There’s a pretty decent off road community where I live, so a Scout should fit in well. As my name implies, I love Italian cars. Ferrari, obviously, but I also love Lamborghinis, Paganis and Maserati. I also have a Flickr account, I love taking...
