  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    UWB Digital Key

That’s interesting. My wife’s phone also has a digital key, which solves that problem.

    Community UX feedback

I think that’s a good point. But the intent here is for feedback, not design solutions. I, personally, am a terrible designer. It would impress you how poor I am at design work. That said, I am able to provide very specific feedback when something is confusing or unintuitive. The sense I get...

    Community UX feedback

UX is clearly a very personal choice for people. I find it very important when making a vehicle purchase, but I know others who couldn’t care less. I see opinions on here that agree with what I’m thinking and other options that are the exact opposite of what I want. One of the things I...

Usb ports on top of dash

I just found it: AGirlsGuideToCars shows it clearly: one USB-C port on each end.

    UWB Digital Key

I currently drive a car that uses UWB as a key and it’s incredible. It works just like having a fob, except without the fob. It also works on my watch. The car also came with two traditional fobs, but I’ve never used them except the day it came home from the dealer. My car also supports NFC on...

    Onboard Meshtastic

This is an odd one but hear me out… I think Scout should include an onboard Meshatasic module. The components to add such a system are very inexpensive and I could see it being integrated with the built in UX to enhance off-road communications in remote areas. Sure most off-roaders carry...

    Scout Security System?

Bluetooth isn’t fine for video file transfer, especially if it’s higher resolution video or multiple cameras. It can take 30 minutes to pull a 3 minute video over Bluetooth. I carry a USB-C microSD reader in my center console to pull files off the dashcam quickly to send to police when needed...

Usb ports on top of dash

Also, I think there needs to be 3 or 4 USB-C ports. GoPro, dashcam, Radar detector, ham/cb radio… it’s easy to envision accessories adding up. That said, there could just be a 12v socket or proprietary 12v connector up there. Scout could then offer a breakout box as an accessories (or a few...
