  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I backed away from an R1S for a couple of reasons. That wasn't really one of them, but it does tie into one of my concerns with Rivian. These are very expensive vehicles. I'd expect that for the premium, they'd give the customer what they wanted. Having been in a couple of R1S, they're pretty...

    In-Person Looks?

I'd guess they'll follow something similar to the Rivian model, where there will be pop-ups and a few fixed locations to see the vehicle. I can save you some trouble though. Crawled around the vehicles at CES. Certainly seem as if they'll be awesome vehicles! Now having said that, they were...

That generator is a big part of my decision making process. Just smart to be able to extend range so dramatically if needed. Agree that it would be a no brainer to have the capability to use it to power certain appliances in an outage.

    Audio system

I've always felt that Bose should have used the tag line "Better Sound Through Marketing," myself.

    Scout Motors at CES 2025

In my discussion with whoever the gentleman was that was there from Scout, he did make it very clear that these are still in prototype stage and what was presented might still change. Does seem to me that they will incorporate customer feedback into what they do. Already felt like they had...

    Audio system

Always amazed at how many great car builders put low grade sound systems in their cars. Hopefully Scout doesn't make that mistake. If I've got to pay a bit more for a top grade system, I'll do it. Live in SoCal and spend a lot of time in the car. A good sound system is imperative -- a bad one...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Reserved Traveler Harvester. Range extender is a great option, in my view. Certainly when the charging infrastructure throughout the country is more robust, it'll be an easier decision for me to go full EV. For now, on longer road trips, I just prefer having the extended range and peace of mind...

What are you driving until release?

I actually had an order in for an R1S. They really are beautiful trucks, but finalizing the transaction felt pretty clunky. Wasn't a good experience. Then had a couple of friends admit that as much as they loved the Rivian, whenever they had an issue, they'd sometimes be without the car for a...

    Scout Motors at CES 2025

I do. Materials feel top quality. Similar to the feel of the Rivian interiors. I was very impressed. Couldn't find any feature that felt in any way cheap. Think they're going for a very purpose built vehicle that still feels very comfortable and well built inside.

    Scout Motors at CES 2025

Had the chance to crawl around the prototype at CES. Have to say, this design hits the spot for me. Perfect size, nice clearance, love the retro styling, but with plenty of modern amenities. Really seems like a top notch design. Love the fact that a gas generator is an option. I've got an order...

What are you driving until release?

2024 Toyota Land Cruiser. Have to say that I do love it, but I'm intrigued by a lot of what Scout is doing. May come down to how well Scout executes and when they actually start delivering.
