  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Lego Kit

I've got a McLaren and Ferrari model as well as both Speed Champions small sets for those. I'd love to get one of the full sized technic F1 cars someday, but I can't justify that until I build the giant Daytona SP3 I have on my shelf waiting :P

    Lego Kit

I love decorating with Legos! Other than my million lego cars, I have the Starry Night set as well as a few outer space artwork sets. I added lighting to them and absolutely love it.

    F1

The bigger problem is they've ALREADY broken all their spare batteries due to the vibrations. So even if the car is sorta drivable, they're in a critical situation with parts and next weekend is another race..

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Not sure I have seen this mentioned anywhere, but pixel/matrix headlights are SO nice and I hope Scout at least offers them as an option. I realize they are more expensive and not user-serviceable, but the benefits outweigh all that for me. Also cornering lights. On my Subaru the headlights...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Once the official specs are published for the towing capacity of both the Terra and Traveler we'll see what's what. Lots of theory crafting done already, and I've decided to just let the reservation sit until official specs are out, then reassess. Anyway, I don't want to turn this into another...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I'll add that I am not in that situation - I daily an EV and charge at home. But I have the EREV reserved because I have had far more negative experiences charging publicly than positive ones. Perhaps that's uncommon, or maybe it's just due to me living in Ohio, but I have seen more broken...

    Lego Kit

Jeez, just learned there's a Lego Jeep too... Now it's basically mandatory to have a Scout Lego set

I did find this... https://www.mocbrickstore.com/products/future-115790 Made with "Lego"

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

One more thought about EREV reservation quantities. A nearly mandatory requirement for getting an EV is to have some sort of charging capabilities at home. (You can obv get by with public only charging, but that takes away so much of the benefits that an EV provides). It could be reasonable to...

    Long distance EV towing video

I'm curious to get this community's feedback on this video The truck in the video is a Silverado EV with a range of 500 miles and a charge speed of 350kw A few things I observed: 1. The cost of DCFC was quite high. It looked like they were picking specific stations for their price 2. In the...

What's the deal with software issues in many newer expensive EVs?

Same with the Polestar, and we also have the same workaround of seat memory positions to get around it choosing the wrong driver. What makes it an annoying hassle is that it takes the car literally MINUTES to switch profiles. So if it swaps from mine to hers when I'm driving, I have to wait for...
