  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What does the base model look like to you?

I don’t nor did I say that. Someone needs a nap.

What does the base model look like to you?

It’s not a favor one way or another. I prefer a base model so if offering lots of options that turns into standards and removes a basic base model then I would prefer to see people use a software feature approach. This does not work for those that are all about appearance. I am more for the...

    Kia Electric Tasman Pickup

Kia has no plans to sell the Tasman in the U.S. due to the 25% "chicken tax" on imported light trucks

What does the base model look like to you?

I don’t know…I like the idea of the least amount of options. Having more options can equal higher cost as the volume of each option is much smaller which ultimately costs more to manufacture the parts for each option. I do like the idea of software options though where we can buy services /...

What does the base model look like to you?

Although I can appreciate why Rivian had to announce the price increases, they made several production setup issues which also contributed to the price increase and tried to pass that down to the early reservations. So, the apology did not sit genuinely with me and I cancelled my reservation...

    Terra - Roof Top Option

Would absolutely love to see a removable top. Already have a ceiling hoist setup for the JK that I could reuse 👌🏽

    Terra - Roof Top Option

Welcome to the community. What would be best is if we have the opportunity to test drive different options such as roof variations and since noise is critical for you, it would be helpful to have a highway nearby.

What one thing would you like to see changed from concept to production?

Your post just gave me fond memories of a 4-speed shifter on the floor. It really sucked when the 3rd gearing was worn out and I had to hold it in gear for 3rd which made it challenging to hold the coffee cup while steering too, but still a fond memory 🤣

ANNOUNCEMENT - New Login System for Scout Community Forums

I do most surfing on mobile as I am on a PC all day at work. So Safari yes, but for this site I will now avoid private browsing which looks to keep me signed in 👌🏽

July 2025 Scout Motors Production Center Update

LOL, I did the same and just signed a new 2-year EV lease which ends July 2027…crossing my fingers the timing is just right.

    Must haves to purchase…

Yep, I drive my TJ top down about 9 months a year. Absolutely the cheapest Alpine stereo I could find to install, factory sound bar/faded/cracked grills and padding with upgraded speakers inside but no one can tell. The wheel lock I keep at home when not trailing, I have the CB rivnut bolted...

ANNOUNCEMENT - New Login System for Scout Community Forums

The biggest complaint Jamie with this change is private browsing. So this forum makes me get a code every time now. Other than that, keep the great info coming…I appreciate it.

    Must haves to purchase…

That’s one reason why I love Jeeps with soft tops. Easy to put down for the open air drives and trails but easy to put back up in the rains and cold weather. I just had to learn not to keep anything of value in the Jeeps.
