  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

As long as you mean a non-metallic paint and not paint with a matte finish. Matte finish paints are a huge pain in the butt to maintain. I would NEVER want it on on a truck or SUV, and especially not something I'd take off-road.

Scout Concepts in Fort Worth, Texas October 2, 2025

As far as feeling larger than the Rivian, it should be according to the posted measurements. It's pretty spot on to standard half ton pickup size (F150/Ram 1500) where the Rivian is closer to a midsize pickup (Ranger/Tacoma).

I set-up a notification for new threads in this section so hopefully I'll catch them in the future.

Dang, I'm in Fort Worth and just found out about this. Bummed I couldn't go see them. In going to have to pay closer attention to their event announcements

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Wrangler now has side curtains with the removable top. The removable top may impact safety ratings. Personally I'd rather see it get a top tier crash rating and have a fixed roof rather than have a poor crash rating but add a removal top.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

But, make the automation stuff available on every trim, for those who may want it. One thing that bothers me about GM is that you have to get higher trims to get their Super Cruise. So you're paying $10k+ more to get the top of the line drivers assistance. I understand not everyone wants it...

    What did you reserve?

The Harvester option will certainly not be included in the $60k base price. And it's entirely possible that the base model won't achieve the 350 mile range for the bev only version.

Even wilder .....make it where it's also the tonneau cover.

    SUV Reveal questions-pregame

We will have to wait and see, but that 91 is probably including mirrors. So the body is probably 8-10 inches less. Either way, based on the dimensions posted, these are full size vehicles. Think Tahoe, Expedition or Silverado, F150.

    Scout Security System?

I thought of about something that would be a big question on this sort of feature. If you can watch the video feed online, or save the videos on the cloud, will there be a monthly subscription to use the feature?

    Scout Security System?

When no witnesses stop to give a statement, it's your word vs theirs....unless you have it all on video.

Lower loading height than my R1S please!

Looking at the dimension, we're looking at Tahoe/Silverado sized vehicles. So a bit larger than the r1. Especially comparing the pickup models of the two.

Real 4X4 with SOLID AXLES would be LEGEND!

Ifs drives way way better on the road and for what people will be going with these off-road, it will be just fine. I don't foresee this vehicle becoming an extreme rock crawler

    Scout Security System?

I agree and will add to include a dashcam feature while driving. I don't understand why Tesla is the only company that has this.

    SUV Reveal questions-pregame

Yes, they definitely don't look as large as they are. Having only two rows of seats in the Traveler leaves the cargo area open. The Terra is on par with other half ton pickups, which is great, but still a large vehicle.
