From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.
Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

It is the first thing I noticed when the lights were on and I thought something was wrong with it. I assumed it was a lighting effect. Then I got closer and saw that the surround was made that way. It looks odd to me and looks worse at some angles. I do not know the inspiration for the design choice. If it makes it to production, it would not be a deal breaker for me. I think I would rather those parts just be smooth and not take attention away from the lights, which I think are spectacular.
I could see that. And if it’s smooth it would not be a deal breaker so I’m really fine either way. I just liked it because it’s different.
Here’s an angle with the frunk shut. It’s just really subtle.
Okay now I know there’s been talk of truck side view mirrors. I hope they stay just as they are.
I like the mirrors. I wonder if that front light bar on them is staying? It would be nice if they do, since that would be like a spotlight with no movement for off-roading. But they could also be purposed as blinkers.
As wide as it is and the price I can’t believe they won’t fold.
Right, kind of like the old FJ Cruiser off-road mirror lights
Interesting idea to make the light bars on the back of the mirrors turn indicators. I am pretty sure there are all kinds of requirements where turn indicators need to be on all vehicles. I don't think I have ever come across turn indications on the back off mirrors of domestic vehicles. But, if not turn indicators then what? There only purpose seems to be "Being cool." Not bright enough for spot lights
Oh my photographer got closeups of some things I didn’t notice at Nats. I like how the black part of the dash has a pattern to it and it’s not just flat black plastic.

Most Mid-Heavy Pickups have them on their mirrors.
I don’t know, it depends, Scout can have them software controlled to get brighter at night. When headlights are enabled.
On the mid-heavy pickups is that because of their width?
Probably.
Edit: due to width and blind spots. Where small cars can’t see them or pedestrians.
All three GM cars at my house have mirror-mounted turn signals, unless I'm misunderstanding you. (22 Bolt EUV, 15 Volt, 12 Lacrosse)
I never thought those were bright enough for anything other than decorative
