  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Pictures From Rodeo Event: Ft Worth, TX

I’m about to become to tire size what @cyure is to pale butter yellow.

For sure alloys. I was trying to figure out if those were aero covers or the wheel itself.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

    That’s going on the wife’s car 😏

Good news is that they’ve confirmed a physical locking rear differential as standard, with an optional front differential (that and the bench is what convinced me to put in my reservation, plus it’s just sexy!) Welcome to the forums!

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

This answers my question in the other thread! I’d started reading and pretty much come to the “batteries are real damn heavy” conclusion

I definitely thought that Lincoln one was a chunk of battery you could charge from in emergency situations, like the EV equivalent of a 5 gallon Jerry can.

More options like this and I might swap harvester for full BEV.

I’ve seen much uglier Stellantis products. Be curious to see the final version. I think I have….questions about that front bumper, but looks like a second cousin of the modern defender. Not bad!

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

Spy shots of the mules…running Baja (My sincere hope ever since they did the Back to Baja campaign).

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Yeah, see that’s my problem after driving heavy equipment and working in machine shops as a teenager 😂 Certainly the firearms and diesel truck (with similarly cranked up music) didn’t help either…

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I’d bet the wind noise will be significant

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I had a diesel Touareg that was plushly quiet and comfortable up to about 120. 135 was the highest I got, but you could tell the engine was working for it. This had 18s and some quality all-seasons, don’t remember the speed rating. I think I recall some of the Cayennes being capable of >165...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

They’ve already avoided a cybertruck disaster just by not designing a dumpster from Total Recall (the OG) on wheels.

Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

Agree with swapping the diff lock, etc to the lower position. I’d been thinking that myself.

What trim levels would you like to see at launch?

I specifically would like to see base interior options promoted at launch. Rubber floors, vinyl seats, base plastic interior, manual seats (but power windows and locks). I’d be all for steelies on 33s with no off road package as a promoted model at launch for the principle of the thing, but...
