  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

I talked to a few people in their tech organization for work. Was super excited about their concepts, and got to see one in person at a trade show. Seemed very well thought out, though I always thought the shape would be too radical for mainstream adoption. Was very sad to see them go down.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Maybe the 10/24 reveal will be the finalized chassis/powertrain/suspension designs so we can all start arguing about articulation and offroad capability!

Package options - what would you like bundled?

Level II+ is better than 30% of people on the road anyway…

    Recline flat rear bench

Takes me back to my bachelor days. I’m amazed I don’t have major back issues.

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Legit. I didn’t realize your system auto-leveled L/R. For all my air suspension slander one of my main purposes is car camping, so I might have to start reconsidering my prejudices (I used to work in a shop that did ~10 Audi air suspensions a month during harvest season in CA). Clearly it’s...

Motors, Control Arms and Ground Clearance

Noob question: can you control them individually to help level left/right, like for car camping?

Package options - what would you like bundled?

Happily? No, I remember when you could get a basic 4x4 v8 Tahoe for 41k (2010) and it wasn’t the lifted minivan that it is today, had an actual rear axle. But realistically? 60k seems pretty sensible given the whole “body on frame EV with a solid axle and rear locker”. Base Tahoe today is 63k.

Package options - what would you like bundled?

I figure a production model as-equipped like the prototypes is 85-95 (being pessmistic). 7-10k for 35s, suspension, and front locker, 5k for harvester, and another 10-20 for fancy interior options and creature comforts like power opening frunk and tailgate. I sincerely hope the harvester model...

Package options - what would you like bundled?

A Bronco Badlands, which gets sway bar disconnect, optioned with nothing but the Sasquatch package (front lockers, mild lift, and 35s) is $57,710. Heated seats, backup sensors, dual zone climate and some software additions with the mid package gets you to $59,385. I’ve been assuming scout is...

That feels crazy high to me, but honestly I don’t know enough to know. Do you still have a link to the article? I’m really curious to read it.

About time. I was hyped for these until VW announced it had been smoking the purest of crack while coming up with pricing.

Package options - what would you like bundled?

Off road package: - Front locker - Skids - 35s 37” off road tires - 18s or 17s, instead of 20s - Swaybar disconnect Things I want that I think should be standard on base vehicles: - Vinyl/non carpeted floors - Vinyl/wipedown seats - Lane centering - Adaptive cruise (not “self driving”)...

It’s tribute to an old Baja race livery. Looks better on the OG than the current generation. Current gen it’s…a strong choice.

My thought as well. I tell myself that’s because of the buck suspension, because in spite of the certain efficiency hit I can’t talk myself out of wanting them.

I'm with you on the wheel swap, but I'm in it to see the current Terra tire and wheelset on the Traveler. I'd be happy even just to see 35s on those wheels swapped onto the Traveler (but 37s are the new 35s so might as well go big!)

It should inflate entirely around the CT so nobody has to look at it. Credit where credit is due, creative idea. Where’s @SpaceEVDriver to napkin math the range impact for us?

As a Bronco owner, I’m taking that as a good sign. 4x4, lockers, skid plates, and sexy - yeah, basically a Bronco but bigger, better, and bench seat-ier! (@Jamie@ScoutMotors please dont ban me 🙏)
